We don’t expect you to just turn up, unpack your luggage and stay in your cottage.

Our beautiful gardens are home to some wonderful flora and fauna. We also have a small pond – we would love to call it a lake but that would be a bit of a fib – where you can use our rowing boat and dangle your toe in the water whilst floating about like Huckleberry Finn. If the mood takes you, you can cast a line – of course you’ll need to bring your own fishing rods.

We are surrounded by miles of footpaths, lanes and bridleways. Nearby Mellis Common, and its 100 acres of natural English common land, gives you plenty of opportunity to get out and explore the glorious Suffolk countryside.

And when you feel like taking it easy there is a games room with a pool table and darts board, a guest’s library and boules/croquet to make your stay even more enjoyable.

Should the need arise, there are laundry facilities on-site and you are welcome to use our quality barbecue… but be warned, you may be visited by a very hungry Labrador!
